WINNING PHOTOS 2024 PHOTO CONTEST

At NWFA Gallery Friday evening, March 29th, an unprecedented tied vote had to be decided by a special drawing.  The decisive drawing resulted in naming Wendy Latuff as first prize winner of $100 and Carol Bowman $50.  Congratulations to all the photographers of the 105 entry photos!

NWFA’s photo of Wendy’s photo, “Jackie Frost”, has been edited for the website.  What a wonderful close up of nature it is.

Carol’s photo of  sun dogs is a fortunate lovely shot she called, “And We Rise Again”.  According to Google the definition of Sun Dogs is “pair of subtly colored patches of light, around 22° to the left and right of the Sun, and at the same altitude above the horizon.”

We work with community businesses, local schools, other arts organizations, and individual artists to provide a variety of quality arts experiences for  Cook and the surrounding area residents.

There’s an ART for everyone here at NWFA!

You’ll find listings for painting classes, pottery, weaving and special youth painting and crafts classes offered on a regular basis in our classroom area. We also feature a summer writing class, concerts throughout the year, dance and drama performances and literary readings, too.
